I begin another week. Annette has scoured the want-ads and I’ll soon begin reviewing what she has found.

Hopefully I’ll get some solid direction (and a check) from Hubert via fedex by this afternoon. If a package does show up with money I might proceed with ordering DSL for the apartment. Annette and I need to be online simultaneously and still be able to use the phone. DSL, it would appear, is the cheapest way to make that happen.

I never said very much about the visit of my friend Mike from New York now two weekends ago. He flew in on Friday, Feb. 25 and departed Monday, the 28th. It was a good visit to be sure. A bit odd at times, but fun. There is no better person to go to a bar with than Mike. Being in the biz he knows exactly what is good, bad or just plain stupid when it comes to the operation of a bar/restaurant.

He carries a kind of weird magic too. At a local place, litteraly a few blocks from the apartment, he tried Pull Tabs for the first time… and won $102! In many ways life is easy for Mike.
