Day 490 – Kittens!

So, the big news: Kittens! Annette and I are parents once again.

Two sisters from a litter of five. As of today still no names. I’m leaning towards Eisa and Mora. But Annette is probably regretting ever offering those choices as I tend to get stuck on the first thing i hear.

They are seven weeks +3 days as of today.

They already exhibit very cat-like behavior. We probably won’t settle on names for some time. We’re bad that way. But we want them to have time to develop personalities that will help us name them. Right now they are total kittens… running everywhere, eating prodigious amounts of kitten-chow, wrestling, falling into comatose sleep.

In other news… there isn’t any. Life at Ordway Center continues to ramble on. The new Director of Marketing has started, but that will not affect me until next week at the earliest. He certainly has his work cut out.

If Scott and my timeline for the next-generation website is approved we will find ourselves working toward an ambitious goal. But that would a very good thing.

I’m riding my bike, but not as much as I would like. Weight has dropped a bit, but I still feel like an amorphous slug. Still haven’t had the kayak out on the lakes. I’m feeling very ambivalent towards the whole kayaking thing at the moment. A long weekend in the Apostle Islands may change my mind, but right now it seems like too much work to drag out the boat, get suited up, and put it all away again just for some time on the comparitively teeny city lakes.

The weather has been glorious. Minnesota spring is one of the great secrets of this place. The winter is pretty damn harsh, but the spring more than makes up for it. Beautiful days of crystal skies and cool breezes.

Other than all of that… there is virtually nothing to report.
