Day 1592 – In A Matter of Hours

Hours of Daylight – 15:22

Two minutes of daylight have been lost since yesterday. That trend will accelerate as we head towards the equinox then slow once again as we return to winter. I love cycles. That’s another aspect of living near the 45th parallel i’m going to miss: four distinct seasons.

In a matter of hours (24 to be exact) Annette will probably have enough information at her disposal to make an informed decision regarding where we go from Minnesota. That last installation of information will come in the form of a conference call at 8am Minneapolis time. The two top contenders are Baltimore and Portland, Maine. While i’d be lying if i said i didn’t care which wins out, i can say that i’ve done enough research to feel comfortable with either scenario.

I am getting virtually nothing done at work. Fortunately the summer is a relatively slow time for the theatre; sales normally fall off as the population of the Twn Cities take their vacations or spend time at their cabins. I’m desperately trying to focus on simple, distracting things, like the motorcycle. By keeping my head down and my ears open i have this vision i’ll soon hear some kind of a starting gun and everything will change.
