If i were king blogs would be mandatory at all colleges and universities. By that i mean blogs would be a service offered to all faculty, staff and students. They need not be public, commenting could be turned off, professors could make arrangements with students for private reviews. All manner of deals could be struck… that’s just “makin’ license plates.” The key is to effect change in the minds of faculty, staff and students and get them to understand that “blogging” is not by design “microsoft word on the internet.” Only through interoperability and cross-pollination that touches people in ways they didn’t expect and moves the whole perceptual operation forward is going to produce meaningful results.

I’m going to make a push at my job. I’m going to try and stand up and say “i’ll do this.” I don’t expect it to go anywhere, but who cares? It’s in the trying where we learn and possibly grow, right?
