Day 1817/21 – Breaking Bad

I’ve been waiting for this…. the return of Breaking Bad, the flipside compliment to Mad Men.

As i’ve probably mentioned before, i’ve long since given up TV. It wasn’t a conscious decision as in “i’m going to stop watching this shit.” No, it was much more a “crap, i didn’t reconnect the over-the-air HD antenna.” Weeks went by… months went by… and i simply never hooked up the antenna. Paying for cable was, and remains, out of the question. I’ve got no money for something that sucks time.

But after living at the campground i’ve had cable as part of the site and i can say, without a doubt, that the single evil of our current society is cable TV. The absolute crap, punctuated by unbelievably insulting shit, is, for somebody who hasn’t experienced it in over a year, beyond astounding.

But i can’t deny i’m happy to be sitting here, in Ashland, in my trailer, with cable upon the great re-start of Breaking Bad.

Tonight, Friday, at the close of my second week of employment at SOU (has it only been two freakin’ weeks??) i get to revisit previous episodes of Breaking Bad… starting with that best episode “Grilled.”  In my world this episode would be mandatory viewing in a scriptwriting class.

Ok… now Peekaboo is playing… another fantastic piece of writing/acting.

I was planning for a trip to Goose Lake tomorrow, but from what i can find out the damn campground doesn’t open until April 10 so the plan now is just go south into California. It’s all good since i feel like a cold is coming on… so now i get to sleep in. Photos to follow.
