Thick overcast today. The sky is one big soft-box (with excellent edge wrapping, too!). I don’t think there’s a shadow to be found in the outside world.

I’ve ordered a pack of poultry watering nipples that should arrive this afternoon. The plan is to construct two gravity-fed drip watering systems that will eliminate the mud puddle at the current waterer and allow me to scale up my flock. I want to add ducks. They’re not as much fun as chickens, but their eggs are in higher demand and thus far they have been maintenance-free egg laying machines.

I can’t stop photographing Roo. I swear he enjoys it and actually poses.
