Since coming to Idaho one lesson i’ve learned time after time is one can never underestimate the backcountry. Once you leave the pavement in this part of the world you do so at your own risk and you’d best be prepared for any number of possibilities.
Today is the third anniversary of arriving in Idaho. My wife’s job was supposed have been funded up to this point. Had things unfolded as planned we’d now be dealing with the stuff we dealt with last year… so there’s really no point in bitching; we’d have arrived at this point regardless.
