Day 1,877 – Nashua & North

The view from River Walk Coffee House

Downtown Nashua. I’d shoot more if the rain would let up.

The Mass Pike was a skating rink, but that’s largely ok since the traffic was moving at about 25 mph. Having a GPS can be a double-edged sword when the weather is sketchy. Watching the “Arrival” time continue to tick up while sitting in traffic inspires reckless thoughts. Fortunately the ice-glazed pavement restricted reckless action.

There’s nothing quite like New England during a Nor’easter. People joke about the Pacific Northwest and the rain, and of course weather stats point out Portland and Seattle and most everything West of the Cascades gets more precipitation, but during a true three-day Nor’easter the wateriness of Boston all the way up the coast is simply astounding.
